Good win tonight brehs. First three quarters was really exciting. Then everyone got tired playing at that frenetic pace.

Things I liked:
-the PACE! Nurse is using the athleticism of this team to it’s full potential.
-Danny Green. He was very good at helping to direct the offence tonight. His defence is not what it used to be and he got beat on close outs a lot, but his bball IQ is very high.
-Lowry passion. He played HARD tonight and willed this team to the win.

Didn’t like:
-Ibaka. He shoots too much. Dribbles too much. Doesn’t pass enough. Doesn’t set solid screens. Doesn’t box out. Doesn’t fight through screens. But he gets highlight blocks so casual fans don’t see how useless he can be.
-Half court offence. This team needs an identity in the halfcourt. It seems like there isn’t a pecking order and there needs to be one.
-Missed FTs and lack of boxing out.

Overall it was a ho hum game. Will be interesting to see what this squad looks like after 20 games. I think we will be dominant.

A lot of brehs don’t know about pissy elevators, broken locks in the lobby and shyt like that. Glad you made it out homie.
When you're in it you never really know how bad it is, until you leave and look back. Had a great childhood with great friends. Any crime just seemed normal, although some weird things did happen during my time there (88-98)

Ironically when growing up I always thought Fallstaff, Driftwood and Woolner were worse, lol. Maybe cause the Chalkfarm community seemed tight knit. shyt, even my mother and I would always walk "the bridge" at night to go to Blockbuster. It would be full of brehs sitting on the rails smoking/doing drugs but never once had an issue. Guess we were one of their own. I don't know.

Definitely got worse in the 2000s though, but I was gone by then. Wouldn't trade the upbringing for anything though. Don't think I would have been as mentality tough otherwise. Things turned out great in the end.

Funny thing about those buildings on Chalkfarm is they renovated a few of them, the lobbies and the units and yet the elevators and stairwells are a cot damn mess....Forget the neighbourhood the inside of the building was gentrified.

Think my last 3 years I never once used the elevators unless bringing up groceries or some shyt. They rarely ever worked. Had a relative lose her unborn due to a elevator drop. Stairwells always smelling like urine. 14th floor had an intense fire that lit up everything. That shyt was chernobyl for fukking years! Burnt walls and ceilings, all black and no lights. I'll never forget it. It became a dare to go through that floor among all the kids in the building.

6'11 CAC landlord couldn't give a shyt, lol. I remember googling Chalkfarm and seeing that it became "The Oaks" with this huge renovation plan. So much for that.

What's funny is the neighbourhood outside the buildings were okay. Mainly Italian owned homes. Half of my friends were there. It was the escape.

Ahh, good times. :pachaha:
