Imma go ahead and derail...story time.
My father used to do media training for rappers and singers,because most of them don't know how to speak to the press without making a fool of themselves or spilling beans. Atlantic had sent her over to my father and my dad knew I was a hip hop fan. Well he calls me up, I'm at home after school I was in HS, and he says "Have you ever heard of Remy Ma?" I was big on mixtapes so I was like "Yeah she's dope. Heard her on a couple tracks." He says "Hold on." And puts her on the phone and she says "Wow you've heard of me?" This was early in her career. I told her she was dope and she probably had next as the top female emcee she was extremely grateful thanking me and saying how sweet I was to say she thought I was just being nice at first and I was like nah, besides Jackie O and probably Shawna not many lady emcees was even trying to bar like her and she was at the top of the pile interms of spitting. I could hear her smile over the phone. She was nice on the call thanking me a lot. Sweet lady in my book.
On another note I doubt this woman and I have anything remotely in common outside of both being black people from NYC and being human beings.
