Wild shyt is that the best livable areas in Manhattan in terms of modern buildings/amenities are all below 96th with some exceptions. Everything is is older buildings while a few have been upgraded but they can’t compete with floor to ceiling windows, everything pre-wired, on site parking and quality fits + finishes. They’re trying to put up these nice so called lux spots in BK, Queens but they’re all surrounded by trash outside of that lux building boom in Long Island city (which is on steroids right now)

But you make a good point. People wanna be here just to be here. And you KNOW they haven’t traveled to other top tier international cities to know how the rest of (some of) the world is advancing. Maybe it’s a money thing and you clearly gotta be getting $ to live good here but why spend ya whole life scraping by just so you can do the same shyt every summer. I dunno breh......I’ve outgrown a lot of this shyt from my youngin days because as a kid you just can’t do what you wanna do even tho you have the energy to.

The way shyt is here now (and a lot of big cities) is a lot of people with mad roommates bunched up and it can’t be a good look or feeling. shyt I went to Raymour with my boy to order some furniture and they had bunk beds with and extra drawer on the bottom and the drawer had a mattress in it LOL.

I was like :picard:

That shyt HAD to be for either migrant workers or folks who are broke and gotta move in with family/friends and put all their shyt in CubeSmart for some undetermined amount of time. Cats don’t wanna humble themselves and look outside of this shyt and make a better life. Sorry but Dyckman isn’t the pinnacle of the social scene LOL

Crazy thing is, I been taking the trains and shyt from whenever I visit the city since 11 years old.....its only getting more crowded and slower service. The 2 and 5 lines are FOREVER and takes damn near 2 hours from 241st in the BX to Midtown Manhattan :pacspit:

Yeah, the fact that people want to be in these areas with a decaying public transit system and bus services for the sake of being close to parties 7 days a week is just plain silly. I know this breh who came from this well off family that owned 3 houses up in Peekskill. He sold one of those nice houses to live near 207th between Dykman and Fordham Road just to live near Dominican themed spots and party scene in a wack ass small apartment. :snoop: I asked him is partying worth living like a broke dude in a semi-dangerous hood?

His answer?

"Cause I can be near the spots where these Dominican Mamis be at and I can shill on the block whenever I ain't working" :martin:

Gave up one good ass house in Peekskill to live next to broke people just cause he wants round the clock entertainment.

Some people, turning up all the time with good looking non-black females :mjpls: is their pinnacle of a good existence. Going backwards in quality living ain't the wave.
