can't give you specific advice, if it's cheaper to buy a duplex and have someone pay half your mortgage vs. what it costs to rent alone, do that. but if you choose to buy a duplex and rent both out, and still rent an apartment, just make sure all expenses for the duplex are covered by their rent and ideally that it brings you a little income. all up to you and what the market is like in your cityDamn, you got the perfect set up. Imma look into multifamily then. That's what folks don't realize, side income is king to getting away from the grind.
So should I just live in an apartment until I got 2-3 multifamily homes? Around here I know I could charge about $1000, so 2 family units would bring in $4000. Probably $2000 after mortgage/taxes/insurance
