NEW YORK CITY — Here's some advice to new graduates who want to start a career: don't go to New York City.
At least that's what a new study — "2023’s Best & Worst Places to Start a Career" — by WalletHub found.
New York City ranked dead last out of the 182 cities in the study, which compared their market strength and livability.
"We examined each city based on 26 key metrics that range from the availability of entry-level jobs to monthly average starting salary to housing affordability," the study states.
And, in a metric after metric, New York City fared poorly.

The Big Apple was 182nd in terms of entry-level jobs per 100,000 working-age population and affordable housing, the study found.
In terms of professional opportunities, New York City was only a little better: 181st.
Quality of life for New York City was 174th, again out of 182 cities, the study found.
So, what's the best place for a young professional to start a career?
Atlanta, Georgia grabbed the number one slot, followed by Orlando, Florida and Salt Lake City, Utah

Reminds me of that Frank Sinatra line "If I can make there, I can make it anywhere".

Hope this words spreads, if you thinking about moving to NYC, don't! We're full! :damn:

This should surprise nobody...

While there is plenty of opportunity in NYC, the cost of living in the 5 boroughs is downright retarded...

If you aren’t “attractive”, have some type of capital or plugged in. I wouldn’t go to living New York.

You’re better off having a base where the cost of living is low and fly to NYC periodically for potential business.
