I don't wanna hear one more noun or verb from this nikka Ray Vaughn.
He has taken career-ending damage all week. Finally someone brought up Doechii and the age concerns this nikka has. Signed over 5 years ago and just now dropped his first real project, which had zero buzz. Dropped an EP a few years ago that nobody cared about. Drops a single every month with a new music and fashion style. One minute he's imitating Meek, one minute he's imitating Drake, now Kendrick. Just a TERRIBLE signing and if we gonna keep it a buck....TDE been missing with their breh rappers since Black Hippy. Zay was a good signing but shyt went bad for reasons outside their control (drugs, that video...you know the one, etc). SZA was a home run and it looks like Doechii is too. They're keeping lights on, alongside Kenny's old catalog.
I think a lot of it is that they just won't sign dude with gang ties. They need somebody with edge and a personality, not just another Kendrick/Ab/etc clone. They need someone more like Q than Kendrick. Frankly they need a Mozzy type rapper in this climate but Top got enough gang politics to juggle, I get why he'd prefer to sign civilians.
Not every signing is destined to be a star. That's never happened in the history of any label. TDE developed 2 legitimate superstars and it's about to be 3. They're talent scouting is probably the best of all time. They're gonna be just fine for a very long time.
And let's be real. Nobody will remember any of these joey songs in 2 weeks
.....crash dummy doesn't even have a million views on YouTube. The shyt is not making the noise you guys think it is. Joey isn't good enough to end anybody's career
