An NYPD special victims detective is raising eyebrows after appearing in a raunchy pole-dancing video that’s gone viral, The Post has learned.

Melissa Mercado, a seven-year veteran of New York’s Finest, popped up on a music video published by World Hip Hop, which shows the curvy cop gyrating and shaking her body while wearing only a thong and a skimpy bra.

The cop’s controversial twerking performance is in the “Doin That” video by Hempstead rapper S-Quire, whose real name is Phavian Winfield,

“She’s not wearing NYPD paraphernalia. Nothing in the video says she’s a detective.

“If she is performing for money, if she has a side gig, the job would want to know about that,” the source said. “The member would be obligated to file an off-duty employment application. I would say nothing she does in the video is the department’s business.”

My nikka NYC cops do this all the time. Moms is a director at the Port Authority. She used to work in HR compensation and she'd have to verify all the PA cops reported outside employment. I've seen the ppwk, it was almost always listed as "tv media" for anything involving camera work. Moms would approve or deny their requests because PA is a hell of a lot anal about their cops having other jobs (they get paid like 150k after 5 years w/o mandatory OT).

NYPD don't give a fukk. They only say shyt if the cop makes the news. Their union too stronk. Former NYPD or Jersey cops stay having their requests denied after they join the PAPD.
