Bottle service clubs seem overrated anyway but what about those dance clubs with no bottle service, and maybe a 10-20 dollar cover at most to get in? Those places can be pretty fun. In New York though, some of them still won't let you in without a 1:1 girl to guy ratio or higher.

You do know being nice to security and the door people goes along way. People looking for a reason to get turned away instead of inside backwards thinking. I try know at least every security guard name and whoever is working the doors name . I’m not trying to wait in the cold on a damn line like an amateur or like I’m a bridge and tunnel loser. Most security is a black and all you have to do treat them with respect, you know how many people roll drunk and high looking to start shyt.

Sure it can help...

but they have people they have to answer to

Listen I’m giving advice that works , yes you are correct they have people to answer to , so that means come dressed correctly , if you can’t dress then come with a hot girl. If that fails become friends with a promoter and go with his group.

I was in NY November 2016. I partied at some spots in Manhattan but found the vibe to be too mixed, too top 40 and flat out wack.

Honestly, I prefer Black and Latino crowds who play hip hop. I asked an NY cat there and he was like: 'bruh, don't even bother with Manhattan. You need to take your ass to Harlem."

So I went to Red Rooster in Harlem on a Saturday and had a fantastic time. DJ was on fukking point, the ratio was balanced and the women seemed cooler.

I intend to be in NY next month. Any recommendations on great, down-to-earth spots to dance to dope hip hop and meet girls?

I second whoever said in this thread that Everyday Peoples was a good party. Went to one of them summer 2016 and we ended up hanging out with some girls from Harlem.

Haven’t been to a club this decade. Don’t miss it one bit. Club scene is where broke nobodies get a bit of power/attention. The whole vibe was becoming trash 10 years ago and seems like it is complete trash now.

yep

shyt is so different. Back in my day, I feel like we really went out to meet our next fling/girlfriend whatever. We were just trying to meet whoever we found attractive. Now it's girls on one side, dudes on another. fukking weird.

The shyttiness of the music is a big part of this. The vast majority of these struggle club records by 2Chainz, A-boogie or some wack new nikka aren't actually bangers and don't inspire people to let loose. Play "Shabba", "Both" and "Magnolia" and watch the vibe get better instantly.

I hate clubs. It's not enough stimuli for me. After roughly 15 mins of dancing, I get bored. When I meet people I like interacting with them and talking to them. Can't really do that in the club scene. I like intimate pubs better. That's why I miss Japan. I was friends with a lot of the locals and many had little hole in the wall pubs in the city.
We would go there and plan world domination over drinks and chess and Uno.

Over here I like hosting parties and having company over clubs.

There is NOTHING better than everybody taking it back to my crib for snacks and drinks and all of us watching shyt and giving funny ass commentary and passing a flower around. Lmao!

Which part of Japan were you in? I just got back. Had the most fun clubbing experience all year in Osaka. shyt... the DJ had better hip hop taste than anyone I know in Toronto and I'm not even sure dude spoke a word of English :dead:

old news. if you actually want to dance, top 40/hip-hop clubs are NOT the wave.

go to a dancehall club instead and thank me later.

couldn't disagree more but aight

This is basically the club scene these days

-$1,500 to $3,000 tables
-drug dealers
-broke nikkas splitting it by 12 people
-thirsty broke hoes finessing these dumb nikkas
-snap chats
-everyone mean mugging

bruh... this is why I'm not excited to go to ATL. I imagine the scene to be like this, and I'm already dealing with this sorta bullshyt in Toronto.

I rather low key strip clubs man...Slow dance with a big booty scrippa to some Luther for an hour. shyt there are so many girls going to scrip clubs nowadays you might meet someone in the process. Majority of nikkax ain't eatin in the regular club anyhow so at least go some place you get to see some naked women :yeshrug:
Which is why when anyone of my people's ask me what club we should go to. I just say strip club

Naked bytches and there are some girls in there who if u play ur cards right can smash.

@Stick Up Kid is there a correlation between the trash NYC club scene and gentrification?

absolutely

NY itself mirrors the entire time we live in right now where barely anything is real, and everything is just "themed" - "themed" clubs and restarurants rehashing various eras that are lone gone and we'll never get a golden era of our own because everything is nickle and dimed / monetized beyond respectability or authenticity. but if it makes a good snap or IG story its all good I guess

bottle service ushered in a really lame era. back in the day clubs were filled with all sorts of interesting people from all walks of life. being interesting or different and knowing how to party was the barrier of entry, now its just money. back in the day you could go to a club and not feel like a total sucker or mark. strip clubs in NYC are a fukkin joke too not even worth talking about 99% of them

matter fact this goes for NYC in general not just clubs. if i didnt have a good living situation id leave. its a fukkin joke here
