I was in NY November 2016. I partied at some spots in Manhattan but found the vibe to be too mixed, too top 40 and flat out wack.
Honestly, I prefer Black and Latino crowds who play
hip hop. I asked an NY cat there and he was like: 'bruh, don't even bother with Manhattan. You need to take your ass to Harlem."
So I went to Red Rooster in Harlem on a Saturday and had a fantastic time. DJ was on fukking point, the ratio was balanced and the women seemed cooler.
I intend to be in NY next month. Any recommendations on great, down-to-earth spots to dance to dope hip hop and meet girls?
I second whoever said in this thread that Everyday Peoples was a good party. Went to one of them summer 2016 and we ended up hanging out with some girls from Harlem.
yep
shyt is so different. Back in my day, I feel like we really went out to meet our next fling/girlfriend whatever. We were just trying to meet whoever we found attractive. Now it's girls on one side, dudes on another. fukking weird.
The shyttiness of the music is a big part of this. The vast majority of these struggle club records by 2Chainz, A-boogie or some wack new nikka aren't actually bangers and don't inspire people to let loose. Play "Shabba", "Both" and "Magnolia" and watch the vibe get better instantly.
Which part of Japan were you in? I just got back. Had the most fun clubbing experience all year in Osaka. shyt... the DJ had better hip hop taste than anyone I know in Toronto and I'm not even sure dude spoke a word of English
couldn't disagree more but aight
bruh... this is why I'm not excited to go to ATL. I imagine the scene to be like this, and I'm already dealing with this sorta bullshyt in Toronto.
