This a young black male attending Yale who got a gun put to him cause he "fit the description" aka he and the suspects it's happen to both be black. If you think class or what achievements you accomplish in life will stop the police from killing you or white people calling you a hard R when they're pissed off, you are delusional and in denial.
Black people are the only race of people who are expected to prove that they're "deserving of respect" or to be treated with basic humanity and empathY. The fact that many white people and black people say things to black people when they do something that is deemed as "fitting" the stereotype that whites have placed upon black people proves this. When black people are fukked over by the justice system over and over there's an entire group of people saying things like "aw come on, don't lash out. Act respectable and don't prove the stereotype right".
It's fukking disgusting and white supremacist brainwashing bullshyt at its finest.
TLDR: you're an idiot. Racism and classism are inherent within one another. One can not exist with out the other because the hierarchal nature of both thrive off one another to succeed and continue to be so powerful.
P.s "pulling yourself up by the bootstraps" is some bullshyt so called ex poor people use to Shame others. Any person who grew up generationally poor knows that shyt is extremely hard. Took my parents 30 decades to get out of what is considered poor to middle class..where they mostly still live pay check to paycheck. Nothing worse than so called people who been through the lower class struggle who make it pot after decades to sit upon a high horse and preach some "pull yourself up by the bootstraps" bullshyt, ESP when discussing race because that makes things way more complex
