I like the chord progression & bounce on Rod's, I like the sound selection on Fenomeno's. Only thing on Fenomeno's is that it feels a little sparse like it needed a little more of a body (bass, kick, etc). Rod's sounded fuller, that's why Rod's track got my vote

Fun Fact: The guitar solo I was trying to do my best ritchie blackmore imitation (From Deep Purple). That how you get the guitar tone going back from shrill to slightly dark.

O had a nice mellow beat that sound like it could be an interlude. Rod came through with some jazzy Streets of Rage/ Sonic sounding ass beat, but the shyt dope tho. Love the creative sounds used on this. shyt sounds all over the place but just works.

Safe to say that this nikka style is its own genre now. Like Tek with Boom bap, clanarchy with soul samples, dbr with trap, etc....

The reason his rebuttal is we been doing this for years is because we really have.
Every fukking way you can run a beat battle has been done in here. Ditto for song battles as well. Nothing you're suggesting is new. We've done it all.
I have personally made beat battle threads in here where cats had to follow a certain guideline (trap, sample, piano based, strings, horn, etc...) thing is after a few weeks, nikkas in here lose interest and thats that. That's just how this place is.
so with that, just enjoy the battle fam. If you and Rod wanna have a spinoff battle when its over go ahead. We can even post that shyt in the booth. But just for now, give your fellow coli brothers their respect and try not to fill their respective threads with suggestions and shyt. Just keep it to commenting on the music.
