Couldn't watch these at the moment but Stacey Abrams also had a great quote talking about how identity politics is of great use when we are talking about the law and legislation negatively effecting a population/demographic. But once you get into policing legal speech and actions you are taking it too far.

Here's an example of perfection getting in the way of progress. MJ Hegar, if she won, would not only be the most progressive senator in Texas history, she'd also be expelling one of the most conservative senators in the Senate. But since she doesn't back a mandatory buy backup assault weapons in GOTTDAMN TEXAS then an activist like Shaun King, who is completely tone deaf to Texas politics, feels the need to use his platform to cancel her. This type of thinking is going to be a huge impediment to Dems maintaining sustained power in this country moving forward.
