President Barack Obama demanded the unconditional release of an Israeli soldier seized by Hamas and said the U.S. stands firmly behind Israel’s right to defend itself against attacks by the militant group. :scusthov:

The U.S. will try to help both sides restore a three-day truce between Hamas and Israel’s army that unraveled hours after it was set to begin, he said.

“It’s going to be very hard to put a cease-fire back together again if Israelis and the international community can’t feel confident that Hamas will follow through,” Obama said at the White House.

Obama also said innocent civilians being caught in the crossfire in Gaza “have to be protected.” Even so, he said, Israel is justified in going on the offensive.
:scusthov:

“No country can or would tolerate tunnels being dug under their land that would be used to launch terrorist attacks,” he said.

More than 1,400 Palestinians and at least 60 Israelis have been killed since the fighting escalated on July 8.

The U.S. Senate today voted to give Israel $225 million in emergency spending to shore up its Iron Dome missile-defense system. :wtf: The U.S. House plans to consider the funds today before taking an August recess for the rest of the month. The measure advanced in the Democratically-controlled Senate with the support of Republicans including Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

So let's get this straight.

1) Obama believes Israel is in the right even though the cause of the war was proven to be a hoax :why:

2) Obama demands that Hamas release the Israeli soldier even though Palestine has 0 leverage against the more powerful, better armed, and better financed Israeli war machine in the negotations? If the US was in Palestine's shoes, do you think we would release any soldier until an agreement was in place? :heh:

3) We're going to give them ANOTHER $225M to "defend" themselves against a country they are committing a massacre against?

:mindblown: :mindblown: :mindblown: :mindblown: :mindblown:

Barry what the f*ck bro? I thought you was about minorities and standing up against the machine and all that? What's really good? I'm starting to regret I voted for this

I wish Obama hadn't said this, but you know this argument doesn't hold any weight, right?

You normally don't give any fukks about your opponents "leverage"

Really breh, you've never been in a negotiation before? The side with no leverage has to bend over and take whatever the other side wants to give it. The only leverage Palestine has is land and hostages, they will never win in an all out war, and they have no resources to negotiate with Israel other than cheap labor and/or whores.

HUH?????

I understand that, but just because palestine wouldn't give him over doesn't mean Obama (or whoever) can't ask for him/her back.

Thats why I said the suggestion that "oh well its ridiculous to ask for him back because the other side would never give him up"...doesn't mean you can't ask.

Of course he would say that. No politician in America wants those Israel/anti-semitic problems

Plus Obama aint making these decisions dolo. He gets briefed and advised.

A quick look at his inner circle regarding this matter:

Tony Blinke - Deputy National Security Advisor

Jonathan Greenblatt -Special Assistant to the President and Director,

Eric Lynn -Middle East Policy Adviser

David Plouffe - Senior Advisor to the President

Dan Shapiro - Ambassador to Israel

ALL of the above are Jews. I'm not one for conspiracy...but these are the people who would be briefing and advising him on this. And when literally all advice regarding this matter come from people who are more likely than not to be one-sided, you get one-sided results.

Of course this is not the only reason...but it does gives you a glimpse as to how biased policy towards Israel is.

fukk israel, and fukk palestine. because as much as im disgusted by these jews' actions, lets not act like muslims havent pledged to destroy israel since its inception

my issue is supporting israel. i dont wanna support either fukkin side

breh even though you don't give a fukk about muslims. as an american or just a person you should be concerned how such a small group of people have so much sway that they have this country's leaders falling over themselves to show how loyal there are to a foreign country clearly violating international laws. americans love looking at the muslims as some big threat but in reality what the hell can they do to us? on the other hand you have people in all facets of the american power structure from politics, central banking, financial system, real estate, technology, etc who seem to be more about their religion and israel than anything else. ask yourself this when a time comes where america and Israel have some major apposing interest who's side would the government take.

also when you have some people that believe they're chosen by god or whatever with power you're bound to have abuse cause after all their needs and wants would supersede anyone's else cause god said so. after Palestine who's land or country the chosen would want to control? stop seeing this as muslim vs jews or americans look at the bigger picture and the long run
