People forget he came from the most crooked politician state > Illinois!
Obama has done some really good things but the first favor he did when he got into office was pay all the donors from Wall Street back by bailing them out with taxpayer money. The cold part about it was it was very naive to think the banks were going to do the right thing and use the bailout money to keep the credit moving. They held that money and made 100x the money they lost back in a 5-7 year period before paying the government back. Either he got hustled, or he knew the gaff from the get go.

yeah the first thing obama did when he got into office was bail out the banks ... hmmm that doesn't even compute as being accurate because they were already bailed out from the fall of 2008 before he was even elected. and dodd-frank legislation even reduced the previously agreed $700b from fall 2008 to $475b. by april 2009 they had converted bailout money to equity shares in these banks.
You are right the Bush presidency did the bail out I mixed things up.
How he paid them back was create a buzz over huge fines in which most have been decreased to small amounts in the appellate courts for all the bullshyt they pulled (predatory lending, overdraft fees). So they got free money and paid zero to nothing (in big bank, big money terms). How can you learn a lesson on greed if you are practically rewarded for it? I know when I was young I got screwed many times and I don't recall seeing a check. I signed many of affidavit from BofA, Wells Fargo, and a couple others; never saw a check.
When we are trillions of dollars in debt why let these too big to fail banks slip by with small fines? That money can be used to pay back what we owe I don't get it.
