Secondly every state and county in this country have differing laws and ordinances and customs. it is still possible to offended members of each one. ****** is an offensive term to black people. not just floridians or texans. Redskins is an offensive term to native americans not to lakota or sioux specifically because it's not a cultural offense. Its a fukkin ethnic slur refering to outward appearance.
But it is true certain tribes are not offended by the term and if they a bigger than the majority that are offended, then what? You would never reach a resolution if you can't get a group of people to agree that something is offensive.

Actually it's not true at all. There hasn't been a single instance where a tribe has made statement in support of these names. on the other hand there many cases where tribal leaders and activist have spoken out against them. which is proven.
but feel free to post link if you have one saying that so and so tribe supports the washington redskins. Because for some reason a lot of people seem to think that since they haven't heard anything that is same thing as support. but more likely it just means you aren't listening.

He said sizable group of people. Considering there aren't a lot of native Americans, you could argue that there isn't a sizable group of people, therefore, the name doesn't get changed. And, he said "I'd think about changing it." So even if there were a sizable group of people offended by it, he wouldn't necessarily change the name but he would think about changing the name.
