Great response.

It's so annoying how the republicans and some white democrats have been convinced to hate Obama... If only Obama was fully white he would get the credit he deserves.

The same people that applaud him for this hollow argument are the same people that justify or are noticeably quiet when he invades countries and authorizes drone strikes that kill innocent people. Surely any Commander in Chief, considering we've been in some form of covert or overt combat for God knows how long, has more blood on their hands at any given time than the cumulative number of gun deaths.

Imagine how up in arms you'd be if an individual deemed an opposition the bad guy, fired off 6 rounds and missed the bad guy, but hit and killed 6 innocent bystanders and faced no punishment.

Nearly 90 Percent Of People Killed In Recent Drone Strikes Were Not The Target

:mjlol:

Barry is the world's biggest hypocrite.

But go on and prevent ISIL "sympathizers" who "visited a website" from getting guns... I'm sure that will prevent them from terror attacks. Make sure you also let Home Depot know to make sure those people can't buy any components for a bomb and tell cell phone stores those people can't purchase cell phones to use as detonators.

Can you also prevent known gang members who haven't committed a felony from buying a gun to stop future crime? Maybe that's the next step for Barry's lovely gun free paradise of Chicago.

:ohhh:

The government locks up people all the time who didn't commit the crime they've been accused of. I'm sure I trust them to deem someone not worthy of purchasing a gun because they always get everything right.

I would've liked a response to the Chicago issue, but still a good answer.

i really wanna know what people expect looser gun laws in chicago(though they arent even as strict as people think) are going to do about the crime rate :yeshrug:.

Nice how he dodged the Chicago question..the bottom line is the NRA is right...more laws will only impede the people who were already trying to own and carry legally...

the knuckleheads with 6 felony convictions and gang affiliations will still be flaunting AK 47s with extended clips on their IG page because laws dont mean shyt to them

Chicagos gun laws get leaner and leaner by the year breh. This year is the leanest it's ever been and so far there is a 43% increase in the number of homicides compared to last year. what exactly are yall expecting to happen :skip:

Instead of letting the white guy establish that Chicago just has a bunch of thugs trying to kill each other, i think he couldve discussed the negative economic conditions and lack of educational opportunities that lead to gang violence.

my point is that laws on guns arent making a difference so why make more?

they may have to go the NY route with draconian stop and frisk and long mandatory sentences on felon gun offenders which i doubt any democrat mayor will survive and thats if they have political capital for or pray for some miracle

heres an interesting write up
http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2016/05/18/us/chicago-murder-problem.html?_r=0
And Chicago is more lenient about illegal handguns than New York, prescribing a one-year minimum for possession versus three and a half years in New York. An attempt to match the New York law in 2013 was rejected by the Illinois legislature out of concern for skyrocketing incarceration rates for young black men.

New York also hired a lot more police officers in response to the crime of the 1990s, and, during its stop-and-frisk era of the 2000s, steeply increased gun enforcement. Recent studies, including one that looked at increased police presence in London after a terrorist attack, have suggested more police might mean less crime, said Jens Ludwig, the director of Crime Lab at the University of Chicago, which studies crime in both Chicago and New York.

Chicago’s Police Department, overwhelmed, can respond only to the most serious problems, leaving citizens to feel responsible for their own security, he said.

“Everyone has to establish deterrence on a retail basis,” he said. “People carry guns in public because other people are carrying guns. It’s literally an arms race, a vicious cycle. There are lots of indications that New York City, by taking guns more seriously and hiring more officers, has gotten a lot of guns off the streets, creating a virtuous cycle.”

they definitely arent making more gun laws in chicago since they are getting less and less restricted by the year.

stop and frisk is indeed down 80%.

Chicago's police force is also 1000 personnel lower than what it should be at MINIMUM.
