I consider him a hall of famer from what I saw him do on the field, but by the stupid ass standards of the NFL HOF, I think he probably won't get in when you consider how long it took for TO, who was undeniably the 3rd best wide receiver of all time the day he retired from the NFL.

especially since he has done a lot of things that are antithetical to the "respect the shield" type voters.

A lot of receivers from 2000s have better numbers than Chad though :manny:

Moss
TO
Harrison
****
Isaac Bruce
Steve Smith
Hines Ward
Andre Johnson
Reggie Wayne
Larry Fitzgerald

Or do all of them make the HoF?
Moss, 2, Harrison and Bruce are already in. I think Torry, Smith, Fitz and Andre deserve to get in.

I wouldn't put Ward in; I don't think Wayne should get in either but I understand his overall numbers look good.

Chad, Andre, Fitz and Smith had bad QBs for most of their careers. They get a boost in my book because their numbers would all be better if they played with quality QBs.

Moss and T.O. don't count. They're outliers. Two of the best EVER. Larry Fitzgerald should be a 1st ballot HOFer. Mr. Consistency and "played the game the right way" :troll:

He's a borderline HOF case imo, but his domestic violence case and disappointing stint with the Pats will hurt his HOF chances in the eyes of voters

Eh, that's a tough one.

I'm actually OK with NFL HoF selections for the most part. They aren't as Byzantine/smoke coming out of the Vatican-style as baseball, but aren't super-lax like the Basketball HoF.
