is this guy pretty nice with the rhymes and production?

hes wildly inconsistent to me, solid rhymer but his beats are either really good or way off

this is a big letdown for a debut album for a guy thats been around 5-6 years, i dont really like it. hes given better beats to lesser known guys in the past year

Only a few tracks in but this shyt is dope yo. I must admit I slept on Oddisee for awhile after I first heard him. At the time he struck me as another awkward producer rapper who couldn't really rap. But his progression has been damn impressive, lyrically and in terms of flow.

Word, I never thought he would be able to impress me lyrically, but dude has really come into his own as an MC. You should check out that Diamond District album, it's a group project, and all of them did a good job on it...plus it's got some of my favorite Oddisee production on it.

Yup I heard the DD album when it came out. At the time I thought it was alright, but it has grown on me over the years

Didn't know this came out...

First couple listens I think this might be one of the better releases of 2012. Might make my Top 10 list. Although his music is better for the fall and winter than it is the summer.

Yeah he ain't the best at rappin', but the production makes that irrelevant sometimes. Could have used more guest features for sure, though

I might mess with this off the strength of this joint:

Honestly I wanna hear him do a whole tape like the above, mixing old vocals of greats on modern production seems like a great idea.
