According to Billboard, Lil Wayne will be honored at this year’s BET Hip-Hop Awards by receiving the “I Am Hip-Hop” award.

As well as this award, we also know that Wayne (who will be in attendance) could win “Best Mixtape” at the 2018 BET Hip-Hop Awards for his D6: Reloaded mixtape.

This year’s awards show will take place from The Fillmore Miami Beach in Florida at Jackie Gleason Theater on October 6th before premiering October 16th on BET Networks at 8PM EST!

but I would wait to do this for 2019 or 2020 awards tho, would match the sendoff from the 2010s which is where his impact is present. because tons of 2010s artist are influenced by him

I'm not even the biggest wayne fan and was one of those rare kids that preferred to listen to listen to Biggie and Tupac over Hot Boyz in middle school but IMO he's been holding it down since 98 and is still relevant

he deserves it (and well as many others, but lets let this man get his due today)
