I was reading about that exact topic yesterday on ESPN. The problem comes in that according to what they said is that the league is hard pressed on finding potential owners because of the lack of revenue that the league is bringing in. It's one of those situations in where they didn't think about the long term implications when they did the designated player salaries for veterans.
