In real history those types of figures are always replaced by people more efficient and effective. We'll see how he handles it in the books

And when I say parentage...the fact that they were married was kinda irrelevant. I can only assume that he wanted Jon to know that he was Lyanna Starks son because if Jon is the rightful King, he could use that as a rallying point so mankind could come together to fight The NK and his army.

Absolute nonsense. If people stopped giving a fukk about the throne they wouldn't be invested in Daenerys at all, her literal life's goal has been to get back that spot.


GRRM's already confirmed the show ending won't differ much from his at all regarding the main characters, if you think he was gonna have the white walkers play some crucial role in the final climax you're not paying attention.

I have never had a problem with them not being the end game. And I guess it would play out different when reading it in a book.. Like most have said, it's the show and it's pacing that is fukking up things

This is the very last season, of what most people say, is the greatest tv show of all time... they were hitting some bumps, being off book, but major shyt was still going down. the surprise attack on the sands.. the surprise attack on olyenna. danny getting her ass kicked tho it was supposed to be easy. arya getting revenge. littlefinger catching a bullet... houses were still falling, surprise deaths, nk got a dragon.. the goddamn wall fell... all packed into season 7 with 7 eps


All the sudden we in the last season.. time to do this big.. they CHOOSE to do the first 2 eps of all rehashing, reintros, remeetings, and buildup to this huge battle. what's to be the conclusion of everything white walker.

however it happens, we are now left with 3 episodes to do what? decide which 3 people will sit on the throne, and get through one more fight. Unless you think Cersei is going to win, where's the suspense in that? Does it feel like everything is on the line now? Or do you feel like "lets go ahead and wrap this up like we know it's gonna end?"

Now maybe I'm dead ass wrong. GRRM throws a goddamn haymaker from left field, a Targ doesn't sit on the throne, and we all look retarded in here. I hope and pray and wish that is the case. Because I've never once felt like this watching thrones. Felt like something was on the brink during every season, even the "bad" ones. Maybe he's lulling us to sleep. Making us feel comfortable, exactly how I'm thinking, then he smacks us with it. I don't know man.. If ep 4-6 don't knock it out the fukking park, i'm gonna be disappointed
