I've rewatched this episode several times now and I am still perplexed by that stare Bran and the NK shared.

Bran's normally stoic stance makes him hard to read, so that's a plus for him staying in character. Death was approaching him and he was still looking at something else. I couldn't tell if he was scared when NK was approaching...gave no semblance of what he was thinking or feeling at the while time.

Even when NK finally stopped and they finally stared at each other, still couldn't figure of out cause Bran didn't flinch at all at any point. NK's little head nod makes me wonder what they were communicating.

Anyone else notice this?
Notice that when Bran wargs, they usually show what he is warging for. However, this time, he warged for an extended period of time yet they never show what he was warging for.

I wonder if the show will reveal exactly what the Lord of Light is and if it has any connection to Bran? The aura that 3ER Bran gives just gives me a gut feeling his story is not done.

And also I'm still not sure about bran. They've been making it a point for him to let everybody know he's no longer bran anymore. Which tells me he holds no allegiance to any house. He's gonna be down for whatever God he worships, or whatever the fukk he is. Even reuniting with his family it seemed like he didn't give two fukks. He was just like "yea yea, let's get down to business bytches".....I feel like 3ER could really be playing everybody. I don't know what's gonna happen but I'm prepared for everybody to die.

Who is this Lord of Light?

aint no point in gassing up these zombie nikkas for 8 seasons if you can survive em by hiding under the bed
This logic only applies to main characters, especially everyones favorite females...

At least that's how the plot logic worked in the crypts...

And fatboy Sam wasn't even hiding...He was literally on his back crying with wights on top of him...shyt had me :what:on my re-watch...

I think that is all still coming and why none of the real major characters got murked in EP3.
I have a feeling that episode 5 and maybe 6 will be analogous to episode 9's of previous seasons. Bran's story is also obviously not done. Bran became the 3ER to be dormant for the next 3 episodes? Every character's story has a conclusion this season. Death or something else, including Bran. Something is going to go down I can feel it.

If not then I would have still enjoyed this season and this show.

NK was not taking out his sword to kill Bran. He was probably gonna go down on one knee with the sword to show his allegiance to Bran or some shyt.

I never got the Bran is the NK theories, can someone explain what made that so popular?

1. What difference does it make that the 3ER knows the history of mankind if he hardly every speaks? And people doesn’t know he exists? The last guy was literally hiding in a tree, completely off the grid.

2. Why couldn’t Bran just be killed by the 100,000 wights who attacked Winterfell, why did the NK have to do it himself and risk exposing himself?

3. How is the death of the 3ER a bigger problem than the literal death of humanity by the army of the dead? If there are literally no people left then why does the history of mankind matter?

The answer to all of this is the same, I don't know. Before Bran was the old 3ER who was protected by the last Children of the Forest. Their magic worked quite well before Bran got exposed and got touched by Night King. That's all I got because you're asking questions that none of us can give you with what we have with what the show has provided us with. Unless you want to go down a deep hole of theorizing or an analogy that you'll try poke a hole in (I had one about a supercomputer but forget it) then I can't help you.

My second guess is hubris because why not?
