I find it weird how many people on the internet derived their enjoyment of this show based on how many characters die.
I hear you. I think people wanted to feel something emotionally jarring by the time the EP was over. The shock, the pain. Not so much that you wanted your favorites to die, but you wanted to come out of the EP feeling, something. Most were preparing themselves for the gut wrench of the Red Wedding, and none of the deaths were able to give that.

Given the scale and hype for EP3 I think it was fair for people to expect that. Even a Greyworm/POD death could have possibly done the job without needing to go the route of Jamie/Brienne/Tormund. But the latter two def would have killed folks inside :pachaha: Especially if it was Tormund, for me :mjcry:

I think most people initial reaction to the episode was positive due to the hype, visuals and often suspense.

I think the next day after all that went away majority, not minority, of people were kinda on some :shaq2: “you know now i think bout it, it was a lot of dumb shyt in that episode” :shaq2:

My favorite so far? So if the red witch doesnt show up, the original plan was for the dothraki to ride into that battle, with no light at all? :mindblown:

Like I said earlier. Its ok to think its entertaining. But its also ok to think the show is poorly written now.

I think most are upset because it went from one extreme to the other. Went from one of the best written shows of all time to now a comical version of that

Yea, I went through those emotions last season when they had Jamie charge at a fukking dragon and somehow survive. He was pushed into a lake or river or something and managed to not come out of the water until he was far enough away that the dragon couldn't harm him.:comeon:

Season 7 already made me come to accept that this show is no longer above putting characters they know they're not going to kill in impossible situations just to give that audience a :damn: moment. It's cheap, it's now GOT's mo. :francis:

Sunday's battle just missed a lot of opportunities in other aspects. Such as not letting the White Walkers fight. We seen one fight at Hardhome. And we've seen what happens to wights when one dies. If they let the walkers fight they could've provided more realistic ways for these characters to survive. Such as Brienne's in combat with a Walker. The Hound and Gendry are getting overwhelmed by some wights. Brienne makes a great move to slice the Walker with her Valyrian steel sword, and a bunch of wights in the area evaporate with him.

Bring him back for what though?

To actually bring the long winter like theyve been doing for thousands of years. To actually be the main villan like this show built it up to instead of wack ass cersi. To actually have Westeros effected by the dead that has been plotted for thousands of years instead of not even sniffing passed winterfell before dying. shyt makes no sense and goes against what this show stood for.

No one outside winterfell even knows about these dead beings thus making all the lore and stories useless. Like at least let them touch down in kingslanding before killing them :dahell:

WTF are you even going on about you fukking goofball. I simply said I find it weird how many people derived their enjoyment from the series based on how many people die and you go off on a tangent about episode 3? I didn't know how many people sat down each week wondering if people are going to die from week to week because I never looked at the show like that. Its quite clear for a number of reasons that quite a few people do tune in every week just to see which characters die which is cool just weird to me.

Does this show have one last jaw dropping twist up its sleeves?

The producers said there was 1 more WTF moment. One of the writers said they were gonna stay off the internet for the last episode

Also Bronn actor said people might not like him after the season.

I cant see Bronn killing Tyrion or Jaime. Just makes no sense

I'm shocked how fast people turned on the episode

Even the extremely casual, TV only fans making memes on Twitter and making Arya jokes see right through it

He should have ran through all of Westeros and the final stand with the surviving humans should have been at Kings Landing. Everybody should have had to put aside their beefs an Jon', Dany, Cersei, etc should have fought together.

They built dude up in 8 seasons only for him to get murked in his first battle, and he only got a little past the wall.

nah it’s about the bait and switch. Why put a character in 1 vs 1000 battles with zombies covering they bodies, pan the camera away and never show how they got out the situation. They didn’t that Atleast 16 times last ep
