this may be more of a book reader/history of Westeros question - how is it that EVERY SINGLE current great house is basically only 5-6 people deep and able to be wiped off the face of the map so easily. seems like a couple of these families would have a wide network of extended family:

  • starks, down to the last 4 3 2 1 - sansa, and she's a female so would they even carry on if she got married and had kids (arya decided to be no one, bran is a early 00's computer stuck in reboot, and jon is a stargaryen)
  • targs - i get how their line was on the brink
  • baratheon - stannis, renly and bobby b gone (all his b*stards...i guess gendry can be the rebound if jon/dany win)
  • tyrells - was 4 of them, all dead
  • martells - are the martells done? i couldn't tell which prince they were talking about
  • tarlys - i guess sam is able to bring them back? it's clear he broke every rule of taking the black and got a kid on the way, seems like he's not night's watch nor on the road to becoming a maester
  • tullys - is edmure still alive? but they're gone
  • arryn - we all know robin aint fathering no kids
  • lannisters - only 3 left, although all have the most potential of the houses left to repopulate their house
Just seems crazy that all the great houses of the story started out with 4-9 at most (lannisters) members alive....is there anything in GRRM's stories to allude to why this is the case?
:ehh:strong strong point here

someone should be stepping up and putting claims on some of those houses

Ultimately, having those dragons did fukk all to assist with the Night King and his horde. People keep crowing about how Dany "deserves" this and that.

Man, fukk Dany ol "Maybe I deserve" ass. She BEEN trash, and the only reason she been talking grimy is because of those damn dragons; without them she food out in them streets.
Without them dragons and HER army everybody is food in these streets. :mjlol:

It's a problem in GRRM's books too (houses lasting thousands of years) but it's glaring in the show. In the books there are a lot more cousins and siblings and cadet branches of the major houses. The show basically stripped all of that out.

I don't fault the show for that. You need to make changes for tv. There's already too many characters for the writers to handle

Ok I’m out. There is nothing but whining going on. The internet never fails at over analyzing shyt and exploiting every little minor issue with something. Y’all did it with endgame and are doing it again here.

Y’all can be miserable by y’all self.

I don’t give a fukk about your “criticism “ my point is you can nitpick anything like that you don’t like. It’s tv shyt ain’t perfect. My issue is y’all seem to get off on picking shyt apart and seeing all the negatives.

You only speak about the shot you don’t like so of course you seem miserable to me.

The internet is the only place where people only voice their negative opinions and then get offended when someone sees them as being negative smh

I agree to an extent. But I think they could do more to let the audience know that off-screen family members exist. Like even Jaime mentions that he killed his cousin in this last episode, so are we to believe that only Cersei, Jaime, and Tyrion are the last Lannisters? Or are there some still around off screen? A single line of dialogue could help clear it up and make the world a little more believable.

The same way cersei could have killed them Dany could have had her dragon come from behind and light them all up. They were discussing surrender so they both respected the ceasefire. No reason to nitpick every little thing
:russ:By chopping the head off an innocent adviser to Dany. If she’s going to kill Missandei she might as well try to end the war right there. What’s her plan keep people in the courtyard forever?:mjlol: The show fukking sucks.:hhh:
