That'd make sense if Pablo Picasso wasn't also an incredibly accomplished painter BEFORE he transitioned
to the style which would ultimately make him famous :

Now, if Kanye is doing a surface level comparison to Pablo as in they both make "boundary pushing art", then that
makes sense. I don't know the reasoning behind the titling of the album so I'm just guessing here but it's a common
misconception that Pablo started off doing what he's famous for. That dude was already incredible talented before he went
on to "break all the rules".
An equal comparison (Hip-Hop wise) would be Nas or Jay-Z or Black Thought trying on Young Thug or Future's
style for size. They'd literally be abstracting and making simpler a style they've matured over the past 20 years or so.
Not starting off "okay" and then trying to get better with each project.
i know picasso was already a refined talent
but his name is synonymous with a certain style
