who wants to talk panthers?

a lot of peoples opinions on the panthers rapidly declined yesterday, after being really high at the beginning of the game. Anytime that happens clearly theres some irrationality going around. I think we got a lot more good than bad from that game tbh, i think it will be a huge wake up call as this season appears to be the year where we really think we can make some noise. Rivera is on the stove fukk a seat, he knows now that its all eyes on him since he was one of the main issues in the game, whether he can adjust is up in the air but i think its very possible. Mike Shula showed some promise in that he can make competent choices, but clearly his flaw was in his passive-ness, i think he will try to switch that up too. Now that we see that we can get a run game going, shula can diversify his playbook and really match it with our roster as the season goes on.

This year will essentially be the first year of playoff panthers, a team that expects to reach that level, so i think we will make a much better point to improve off mistakes and to come in week in and week out ready for each team. Really what im trying to say is i see a team eager to win, especially since we see we really can win against any team. Cam was a huge bright spot i think he played like a top 10 qb and it looks like he might be climbing that barrier between inconsistent inexperienced qb to top tier offensive general. Smitty is lively as ever, olsen had drops but he looked good id say. Lafell and co looked really really bad i think we will have to make some changes to find a good lineup, we definitely have options though. The running game looked great and we didnt even have stewart. The defense was great the secondary got exposed as the defense tired out and the seahawks got a lot of possession time, and thats a real work in progress i think the secondary should improve a lot as the season progresses (as soon as we move munnerlyn to slot). The O-line looked surprisingly solid, it will still be an issue i think but the line might come together over the year, the loss of garry williams hurts but i dont think its a huge handicap to the team. I think after a good outing we can now see who is ready and who isnt ready to play, mainly talking about the WR's. They wont magically improve but i have faith in the next few weeks we will make things work. I think gettis is a sleeper he impressed me a few seasons ago when he wasnt hurt.

Ultimately everything comes down to the coaches making the right personel moves and making good game plans, and lastly being in control of the team and of the game. Rivera still coaches like a rookie, if he doesnt get his shyt together real fast hes outta here, but if he starts to adapt to the league and the team our fortunes increase dramatically. Remember that no team in the nfl is perfect, even with our weaknesses we do have enough talent to beat any team, idk about streaking through good team after good team like in the playoffs, but any given sunday the panthers could beat any team.
