Funny enough, they did the montage of making Checkmate and shyt, I dont think they ever said what it was.
Metahuman definition - did some more digging and I just dont like the word or the definition of it. This was posted in a reddit thread 4 months ago:
He said Terrific is arguably one, I guess due to the science/tech shyt and having high proficiency(smartest man ever). If proficiency can be used then how is Peacemaker not a metahuman since he has high proficiency with marksmanship with any weapon and does stuff with his helmets? Him and bloodsport were shooting each other's bullets. Also Batman, Robin, Nightwing, etc all would be classified as metahumans too. Just a dumb definition

The metahuman debate is unnecessary because Flagg will likely just trap whoever is a problem in there.
Calling the season a "waste of time" is missing the bigger picture. It's setup most likely a huge part of what 'Man of Tomorrow' will be about.
If 'Peacemaker' is a waste of time what does that make the million other comic book shows that lead to nowhere?

This season felt like it had a different vision in the earlier stages, but changed once Gunn's role expanded. He's at least integrated his quirky team of misfits into the larger universe.

I like the ideas about Peacemaker, I just don't always like the execution. Some of these characters are vv annoying. Love Tim Meadows, couldn't stand his character. Half way through this, I was good on another season and kinda glad they're stopping here. I feel asleep and woke up to Chris in the new universe. No desire to go back and see what I missed.

Tim Meadows is great in almost everything, but i agree. he wasn't nearly as funny with James Gunn writing him. Dude needs a a comedian to do a pass on his stuff and cut about 25% of his humor. even the Guardians movies, which are great, had like 5 too many "cringe" jokes.
I begrudgingly watched this because I fell for the hype I was seeing around, thinking it was going to be something different.
I'll be damned if I watch another one of these nerd ass comic book shows again. All this Marvel/DC shyt has been the worst thing that's ever happened to TV and film. Cats don't know how to properly critique shyt anymore because of shows like this. It's fukked up everyone's palate.

You literally didn't miss anything but the theme song being played out. Flagg just kidnapped Chris and put him in the new universe.

Not really. Since the metahuman stuff seemed tacked on here. Since the show made it a thing, randomly at the end, just to shoe horn in the Salvation shyt. Before you go "it wasnt shoe horned it", it sorta was. If they actually planned this out they wouldve been laying bread crumbs for the shyt throughout the season. Having Flagg talking to the goverment about needing a prison etc. Van also laid out how they couldve handled the reveal of the prison shyt a lot better. Like Van said, it's been used a thousand times and has never failed. One of the good guys finding a document/video or w/e and revealing what they working on is actually about to be used for something bad. Instead we lazily get Flagg goin "Yes, we finally got our prison world". Midnight Boys also raise a good point about them just using any world for a prison world. On top of the montage not making sense. Why are Flagg and Lex's crew celebrating if they planets they running across arent "usable".
Gunn also shouldve stuck to the "happy" ending and let the episode end with the Checkmate montage. Wouldve at least provided closure to the Peacemaker story. Flagg throwing Peacemaker was just tacked on bullshyt too.
If they cant stand on their own and be a good show? Yea trash/waste of time. Just because something sets up a bigger picture doesnt mean it isnt a waste of time. I also think it's dumb to compare Peacemaker to the million other comic book shows that arent tied in to movies because they dont lead to nowhere. They telling a complete story for the most part. Watchmen doesnt lead to anywhere, still great series.
The Penguin - On it's own, a great show, it setting up shyt for the Batman Part 2 is just the icing.
