Me and the wife decided to do this as a passion project, with a tip of the hat to the old school we try to bridge that gap to today with some interviews highlighting indy artists who make the kind of music we like. I'll try to get some insight into inspiration, some deep cuts, and stories about how some of our favs got made.

Vinyl Villain is the first guest, we also plan to have

4th Disciple
Bronze Nazareth
Smoovth
Rozewood
Daniel Son
Crimeapple and Buck Dudley (sep.)
Spectacular Diagnostics
El Ay (The Winners)
Estee Nack
journalist Tyron Perryman (Casa De Harlem/Tea and Converse podcast)
DirtyDiggs
Graymatter, and others as time goes on

Unless your wife knows absolutely nothing about hip hop, you should consider having her participate in the interviews as well.

Also, the sound quality was rough on villains end. I could understand you fine though.

yea it almost got canned completely because of that, his level was a flatline on the recording. she spiked it up as much as possible, any louder and it crackled

Sharon knows her stuff, she was not familiar with VV so she didnt feel the need to chime in. we are doing a Ladies Of Hip Hop ep with El Ay, she will do that one. honoring real lady spitters like Rah Digga/Bahamadia/Rapsody etc

Dope interview. Would think that you did this before @SoulController. You gotta work on the sound quality tho.

i think he was walking around the room and was drifting away, i could hear him fading but had no idea it would be that bad on the re-record. believe me, that caused alot of work. it was out first try, VV was a good sport about the whole thing

thnx breh, i tried to be prepped and be up on the material. the show will grow, we'll improve, so bear with us
