Alex Kurtzman Inks $25M Overall Deal Extension With CBS TV Studios, Will Expand 'Star Trek' TV Franchise

The new deal comes as rumblings about another Star Trek series, featuring Patrick Stewart reprising his role as Star Trek: The Next Generation's Capt. Jean-Luc Picard, have been heating up. Sources say Kurtzman and Akiva Goldsman, who left Discovery after season one, are attached to the Stewart-led reboot. CBS TV Studios declined to confirm the Stewart project as sources say a deal is far from completed and may not happen despite the fact that the actor recently teased his potential return to the franchise.

He never really teased anything. Just that he might have to watch DSC. Think this is all unneeded. Especially an academy set series which will be pure yank teen shyte. The Khan series has been in development a while but at least it's Nick Meyer who's been writing it. CGI animation can piss off. I would be happy with these if it wasn't going to be from the same people who think DSC is that good.

The Borg are dead. Janeway destroyed the Trans-Warp Station and Picard and Data killed the Queen (in a canon movie).
Yeah and new queen replaced the queen picard killed and the Borg didn't need the trans warp stations to travel. The Borg will always be a threat.

There were several Transwarp hubs. Janeway only destroyed one. Also there were back ups of the Borg Queen. And lots of disconnected Borg were roaming the Delta Quadrant. They were only slowed down a bit. Not destroyed.
