The problem with this case for the prosecution is that most people do not associate sex trafficking and racketeering with anything diddy is being accused of. You say RICO folks think criminal organization and not 1 person. You say sex trafficking you think a bunch of women locked up in a basement somewhere and not someones girlfriend. The challenge the feds have is not only do they have to prove those things but they have to also try to reeducate people on what they think RICO and sex trafficking is. Diddy's defense just needs to make it muddy and convoluted and get 1 juror to not buy what the prosecution is selling.
