that's not how court works. every witness and every evidence that makes it to court has to be disclosed to the defense or it could be unlawful trial.
the courts are not here to play "gotcha" they are there to get to the closest version of the truth so they require everybody to be prepared, they probably really want everyone to settle before trial and save time and resources, so that requires for defendants to know what all is going to be presented against them so they can make an informed decision on if they really want to take it there.

At the end of the day, Diddy is in court off of his own actions. He wasn't framed for anything. No one forced him to be a deviant
