Are we sure he's not talking about the original Top Gun? It is the movie that created the summer blockbuster which many would argue did kill Hollywood

That would make more sense than hoisting all the long standing ills of Hollywood on a movie that only came out last year

First comic book movies are ruining cinema, and now it's Top Gun. I don't need to eat Japanese wagyu steaks at a 5 star restaurant every night. Wings and beer are good meals as well. It's ok to have some fun. Not everything has to be serious cinema

How did Top Gun ruin and make him hate movies? It's not even like the comic genre where there are a bunch of them dropping, it's one of them every 30 years
