watched the first ep, couple of chuckles, but this ain't gonna make it.

Norman Lear must've owed somebody a favor.

and it's clear that a bunch of nikkaz wrote this shyt. like a an urban comedian satire spoof of ghetto shyt. Just not done right.

I watched like 3 episodes. I like the "Good Times" references. If you're obsessed with the show like me, you'll appreciate. But it's not funny mainly because I'm not a Jay Pharoah fan. Secondly, the worst change is changing Michael character into baby drug dealer. He was the "black consciousness" of the OG. Then they take that and give that to the girl. These modern shows love to make women heroes. And JJ continues to be a dummy and the baby a drug dealer.

Didnt watch, as nothing I saw or heard made me want to. This is the type of show that could use a Bel Air type, more dramatic modern retelling. I want to see more nuance and humanity in the characters...dig deeper into why they are how they are. Sounds like this went in the other direction.
