If Cousins doesn't agree to resign with Pelicans. I would try to offer Steven Adams and a few other players.

Reason 1
If Westbrook leaves there is no need to be paying Adams 25 mil.. This way you clear up bad contracts and go back to rebuild mode.

Reason 2
Might as well go all out.. U get Cousins and after year he leaves which once agsin frees you up to start over with no big contracts

Reason 3
New Orleans would still get a good center..to play next to Anthony Davis still under contract for multiple years
