If you're between the ages of 20-40, you're a fan of the Yankees, Cowboys, Braves, Raiders, Steelers, Celtics, Lakers, Bulls, Canadiens and/or Oilers, and you're not actually from those one of those cities ... well, you better have a reason that goes beyond "When I was picking a favorite team as a kid, they were the best team, so I picked them."

Devils were the only local team i liked, and even that wasnt my media market

not sure how i could be less of a fan because im not a local, ive never even been to the city of Miami before but ive never wavered on my U of Miami or Dolphin support. diehard A's fan for 20 years been to Oakland once, dunno thats just who i rocked with and it stuck

It does matter though, because then when you start tryna argue in favor of someone /something you ain't even that big a fan of or knowledgeable of, it's no different than arguing with the broad at a Superbowl party who thinks a touchdown is 7 runs.

I dont give a fukk enough about baseball to actively root for a team, so when I'm around Yankee fans I'll be a Yankee fan and vice versa when I'm around Met fans.


In truth I would rather be a Mets fan cause im from Queens, and because I'm a Knicks and Jets fan so I like shytty franchises . But these Mets and Yankee fans hate each other for some reason so I dont want that drama. So whatever. And I remember being a Yankee fan as a kid screaming out of the window that the Yankees won in 96. But I never gave a damn about the ones after! I was into basketball! For some reason as a Penny Hardaway fan. Then eventually the Knicks.

I like Baseball, just cant get too invested. Watching the games on TV are too boring, and I never go to games live cause of the $$$$. But I know the players on both teams, cause I listen to sports radio on occasion. So what I cant be a fan of both if I dont really give a shyt?


Overall though I agree with the article. Just nitpicking. In the end, I try not to judge people by what sports team they like.

Thinking about it...I do believe that people should be a fan of the college they attended OR their home town college teams. You should at least support your own local kids


I went to the University of Akron, but I aint rooting for them

Don't matter who you root for as long as you only root for them without changing stances. That's my only opinion about it
