BROWN DEER, WI (WITI/CNN) - An elderly woman in Wisconsin called police because she thought she heard someone chanting "ISIS is good, ISIS is great," while having sex in her apartment complex.
The unusual police report has gone viral, with people around the world calling Brown Deer Police Chief Michael Kass.
"I think the story is entertaining," Kass said, adding that he has gotten calls as far away as the United Kingdom.
It all started with a short summary in his weekend police report.
An 82-year-old woman said she thought a neighbor might be an Islamic Group sympathizer because of the chanting.
"An officer went and spoke to her about her concerns and advised her that if she heard, if she heard it again to give us a call. She could not pinpoint where it was coming from," Kass said.
It's a tough story for neighbors to believe.
"I just heard it on the radio this morning," neighbor Kris Mesheski said. "Oh I thought it was a chuckle."
Mesheski lives across the street from the complex, and isn't worried about Islamic Group sympathizers in her neighborhood.
"She's gotta be hearing it wrong," Mesheski said, adding that it's a quiet building.
Meanwhile, Kass said the story isn't out in an attempt to embarrass anyone.
"We encourage people that if they see something, to say something. So you know, we don't discredit the story. We investigated it to the best we would with the knowledge we have," Kass said.
Kass thinks the incident has been blown a little out of proportion, but given the country's heightened state of alert, he said it's a possibility.
"Who's to say where a potential terrorist cell is located? I can't dismiss that there would never be one in Brown Deer, so we do tale all of these things serious and we do want people to report suspicious things," he said.
The chief said the woman does have some physical ailments that may have affected what she was hearing.
