I like listening to old Cash Money records, I'm talking 1993-1998 Cash Money. Groups like UNLV, rappers like BG, Pimp Daddy, Tec-9(of UNLV) all had very regional New Orleans sounding tracks. Mannies old production was pretty soulful. BG's 1996 album chopper city was especially soulful, considering BG was only 16 when it dropped. But in general, old Cash Money's regional sound was pretty dope. Listening to those songs actually felt like they took you to NO:
