No hw wasnt. Deat Row is when his character hit it's peak. It began in the movie "Juice".
Yes. Had a #1 album that went 2x plat while he was in jail. Prior to that he had a gold and plat album.

Definitely a star pre death row. Juice and Poetic Justice with JANET JACKSON (who was a super super star then) and platinum albums. Always in the news for one thing or another.
