If LaMelo thinks he can drop his stock so low the Knicks can get him, he clearly doesn't understand how his stock is.

Teams know the Knicks would take him even if they personally don't really want him. There's a belief that he could go #1, but still be on the trade block until y'all capitulate. Worst case scenario he drops to #4 and then y'all can trade with Chicago, though I don''t see why Chicago would willingly drop to #8 and miss out on every trade down target.

FYI, the Coli mock draft will start the day after the Finals end.

I hope the Knicks call teams bluff then.

Next year's draft class is why I'd be completely fine just grabbing a couple of complimentary pieces and handing the keys to RJ, Mitch and the 8th pick...it'd be another losing season but the kids would sink or swim plus the draft will be strong.

I been saying this. Next year’s draft is probably the best one in the last 5 years. Great talent at the top and from the early signs a lot of depth.

:yeshrug: IDC about that. As long as the Knicks stick to a functional plan that makes sense, that's all I need. Literally none of the teams that made it to the conference finals were led by a lottery pick that they drafted. All getting a top pick in the draft means is you sucked and you're gonna get a franchise player who won't stay on your team if you aren't already functional.
