Previously, the Afro comb wasn't very visible. And for this reason it has been assumed that the afro comb was invented in the 1970s. But a new exhibition blows that myth out the water. The afro comb dates back to ancient Egypt. The oldest comb from the collection is 5,500 years old.

The hundreds of combs on display show that over time the style hasn't changed. The comb, sometimes called a pick, is commonly upright with long teeth. Sometimes a motif decorates the top. In ancient times it often referenced cultural belonging, and there are artifacts showing how people wore the comb in the hair. Time marches on and culture is always in transition. But perhaps not at the speed we assume.

pretty sure everyone has come to the census that egyptians were black. only people stuck on they werent white supremacists, and they dont matter.

after Ramses dna came back, everyone closed their moufs.

Actually it was Zahi Hawass Jama Study/DNA Tribes results that were the deal breakers. But even so before that S.O.Y Keita already proved during the 90s that the AE were tropically adapted and grouped with other Africans. S.O.Y Keita who is respected in academia. The AE were already said to be "black" in acadmia a long time ago, especually during the 90s...

Its just that mainstream media has not caught on. Thats where the confusion lies.

An example of academia already up to date:

Also don't be confused by Eurocentric tatics. Wave/curly hair is in fact native to Northeast Africa. Eurocentrics want us to believe Africans are not that diverse and only the "negroid" Nubians had kinky hair when in fact both had kinky/wavy/curly. But it wasnt European straight like hair. When you see a picture of an Ancient Egyptian with wavy hair its not because he/she is non African but that type of hair is native to that part of Africa and still is...
