nobody ran it...you think 95 was just pac or biggie?...shyt didnt work like that back then...stans didnt exist...people that loved biggie had the same love for the infamous...
for what this thread is asking, yes, big's best/dominant year was 95 and the NATION gonna think of him = 95 before mobb deep or rae :rudy:

and stans have always existed breh, since the first rap battle, people have chosen sides and rode out for their fave MC

This is a funny ass thread, "Big was played on the radio nation wide, but not on the streets".
Yea Big was moving mad units with singles, but people were only buying them not playing them.

Big had like 6-7 big songs in 95, that were top 20 on the billboards.
Those I can think of are Get money, Big Poppa, Players Anthem, Can't you see and One more chance. Pac was locked up for a majority of the year and basically had 1 big song, Dear Mama. 1996, that was Pac's year.

I like Pac 100x better than BIG. Way better artist. But as someone that grew up in that era I'll say this. Pac was a star in 95, he had major movies under his belt, and platinum records way before BIG.

But just in 95 alone? I'd prob give that to BIG. One more chance remix was huge and MTV and EVERYONE in the media pushed BIG because they were jealous of all the success of the west coast and needed an NY artist to blow up.

However, as soon as Cali Love came out and All eyez on me dropped, Pac was the undisputed king. No debate.

it being his best year dont mean he is the only thing to remember about hip hop/rap in 95...that year..that era was bigger than pac or biggie or any individual...only someone not old enough to know better would ask the question in the first place...
