It's crazy because I don't remember a lot of Biggie being played, if any. I only heard Bad Boy when I went to my great grandma house because she had cable or when it came on the Box. But 95.7 Jamz was wearing this out in 95...

Honestly Both did for the most part then bone came through wit 1st of da month single and the east 1999 album.I vividly remember summer 95 box chevys bumpin so many tears and one more chance,big poppa etc
I'll give biggie the edge cuz he had the junior mafia album and ready to die singles poppin all year but me against the world was gettin heavy play too pac was locked up until october.

But honestly, I don't remember a single individual running that year.

Well, 1995 is an unfair comparison because ever though 2pac dropped his arguably BEST album that year, he was locked up practically the ENTIRE YEAR as well. So, it's impossible to point that he ran anything despite making history as being the only artist of any genre to have a number one billboard album while locked up. So, it is Biggie by default, but Biggie didn't even drop an album that year. However, the "One More Chance" remix blew him up and more than anything...but it's more like that was the year for Bad Boy overall more than just Biggie.
But the artist of that year in 1995 was definitely COOLIO.... "Gangsta Paradise" was THAT HUGE of a record.
