Obligatory :dame:

Last month we reported that Toronto musician Joseph Shabson said he scored music for a documentary on New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) star Kenny Omega. The documentary is being worked on by HBO. However, it’s HBO’s Canadian department. Not to be confused with the team that worked on WWE Hall Of Famer Andre The Giant’s documentary last year.

While fans have only had the word of Shabson to go on, we now have confirmation, and a release date, for the documentary. Writer, assistant director, and producer Corey Erdman recently confirmed the project. Erdman revealed on Twitter (The Tweet has since been deleted) that the documentary will be named “Omega Man: A Wrestling Love Story.” He also noted that it will be released on TSN on March 27th:

“I can finally talk about what I’ve been doing for a year. I have been writing/producing and assistant directing Omega Man: A Wrestling Love Story, on the brilliant @KennyOmegamanX. Premiering March 27 on @TSN_Sports. Watch the early trailer here: https://www.tsn.ca/engraved

The Sports Network is not a channel available in the United States. There’s currently no news on how wrestling fans stateside can watch the documentary upon its release. But we’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available.

Link for the Trailer is here

Engraved on a Nation

Omega part starts @ 3:20 in the vid.

Dude is wasting away his prime :mjcry: Omega/Okada in msg would have been fukking fire :mjcry:

Jericho is washed to me their match was cool but I don't want to see it again. :manny:
I expect the rematch to be just as good at the first match but I hope they have bigger and better stuff lined up for him and he'll stay a full-time wrestler and not go off to be a part time professional gamer or some shyt.

Supposedly Omega can still work NJPW (as can Jericho), but obviously for Kenny AEW will be top priority and allow much more creative freedom, which I think is the driving factor for him right now.

I hope he gets back to New Japan sometime this year though. I don't doubt NJPW will partner with AEW if they are successful this year. ROH will probably get the boot and the next MSG show will be NJPW x AEW. :lolbron:

idk man as the days go by I look at AEW like :ld: Omega/Penta/Fanix are the only ones I'm feeling. I would prefer to see Omega run that back with Fenix or Pentagon than see him vs Jericho again. :yeshrug:

I think Omega and Fenix in a big match setting would be :whoo:

Or

Omega/Ibushi vs. Lucha Bros :noah: :noah:

Really dug this.:wow:

Maybe it's just me getting :old:but I appreciate now more than ever getting to watch people do the things they excel at, and that they're earnestly passionate about.

Art, music, writing - whatever.

It's probably all the long ass, in depth podcasts I listen to.

Anyway. Getting to watch genius at work >>>>>>>

I'm shocked that the Bucks, Omega, and Page didn't at least sign short-term extensions with ROH or NJPW to perform at MSG. Guessing Cody performed there while with the E but for the others I'm sure it would have been a career highlight given the history of wrestling at MSG.

Yeah him and Okada went ahead and told the "Rocky" story in a wrestling ring, w Ibushi and the Bucks as Adrian :dame:. The fact that they are both great athletes in the prime only put the icing on the cake :wow: They both said that they left out ideas for another match. :damn: We'll probably get it when they're both washed :beli:

That's something that I feel today's dudes don't get, 1000 cool moves with no story means no one will give a fukk about your match. :yeshrug:

Yeah they should have at least did the msg show, could have gave them more momentum going into double or nothing.

AEW can sell out a show in MSG tomorrow if they wanted to. They'll work the building eventually.
