You can say it with anything whether it be sports, fashion, or films but music wise how much does a fan base effect your listening experience? I’d say it’s a solid 8/10 most fans are cringe and do the most.

I don't know if it really has that much of an effect on me. As long as the majority of their fanbase aren't some racist losers, I don't really care.

I listen to Drake even though his stans are lame as hell.

What do you mean?

Maybe because I’m English, but for the most part I don’t even know what the fan base thinks before I listen?

For example, I just d/l Freddie gibbs new album, from what I read on here, most people don’t like him 🤷‍♂️

I like it.

I’m 45 though, so old as fukk and ain’t bothered about peer pressure at this point.

Zero honestly that shyt is borderline gay, if music sounds good to my ears that's all that matters. I've seen people say they don't listen to certain music genres or artists due to their friends not listening to it and I find that weird.

they're some following azz nigguhs. shyt is crazy that people won't listen to music or look at movies due to what other people like. I've never heard of such foolishness until this social media era.

I don't know if social media causing it or what, but we have so many people who suffer from low self-esteem. If they feel like they not doing what everyone else is doing, then their life is worthless.

So many electorates turned me off from the politicians that they support. Same with sneakers, if a certain type of crowd loves em I’m probably gonna think that shhit is triddash.

Music is more personal, if you’re letting outside sources determine whether you like an artist/music or even give it a chance, that’s a little silly, and ill-advised. Look at Kanye, his core base are the antithesis of me and anyone I would build with for the most part, lol, but the music when he was on his shhit was jammin, shhit was crazy. Probably like a 2 out of 10.

Good examples would be the current big three fans. Can’t tell either of them that their artist is overrated without a barrage of attacks from any of those fans. Another one would be people who wear fear supreme it’s a hypebeast brand even though they have a lot of understated pieces you’ll still be branded as a hypebeast no matter what
