Itunes is biggest retailer in music and the way you can buy single songs for 99 cents there's really no need to purchase an entire album for $14.
Then with streaming spots like spotify where you can have every album at your disposal for $10 a month.

Not to mention the ease of downloading and how much easier it is to get links with everyone connected and communicated via twitter and stuff.

Who are these people that are buying albums week after week?

It has to be a very small minority of music listeners

There is a minority of people and it gets smaller and smaller every year that are making up the bulk of the purchases that you see on the charts.

i buy artists i really fukk with music. i actually bought long.live.asap twice. the delux version when it came out and the regular version off itunes like a month or so again when it went on sale. it was my most played album last year so fukk it.

and i buy singles.

I don't understand how people on thecoli and other forums I'm on have to ask for links to downloads. It's really very easy to use torrents or google or whatever to find a new album/song download.
