Most forced masterpiece in hip hop history.

Very good album but it was just another dope album in 96. Mightnt make my top 10 that year.

Didn't change the game in any meaningful way.

Couple of filler joints on there too.

Listen, when I first heard RD when it came out, I knew that album was special.

Nyggas saying people rewrite history by calling it classic years down the line. Thats when you do call it classic. If it last over years and years.

RD is a personal top 10 for me. Im not really in to ranking fav albums. Its too hard to do for one. I do know RD is perfect from beginning to end

If it took 5 for people then fine.. everybody dont rush to judgement. Classic is supposed to be defined over time buddy
NAH

ONCE JAY WENT ON A CAMPAIGN
TO REWRITE HISTORY AND
CALL THE ALBUM A CLASSIC,
PPL FOLLOWED AND BEGAN
TO DO THE SAME.

MAYBE THAT WENT OVER YOUR HEAD.

You know this album is a lot like IWW in the sense of how people feel about it now compared to then is different

I remember as a kid the sentiment with older people was IWW was some shiny bullshyt that just wasn’t Illmatic Pt 2

Reasonable Doubt on the other hand was just sandwiched between shyt other people may have cared about more locally much less nationally

The difference? People organically came around to IWW whereas Reasonable Doubt was practically campaigned into people’s consciousness by Jay-Z

Great Album

Over the last 10 years, have listened to any other album from 96 more than Reasonable Doubt?

If this is a question the answer is a resounding yes. Part of that being it wasn’t available and even when it was I just have other shyt I’m into more from that year which makes it potentially the best year ever
