Went to his concern in 1999. He thought I was 15 years old when we're actually the same age hahah. I asked him about Tragedy and he said he was going to beat him up when he sees him. I recorded the audio with a tape recorder in my pocket. Still have the pics from that day that he took with me, him signing autographs, and he autographed a 8x10 for me. I thought he was like a 6'2" skinny dude. This guy is short and pudgee. Hot album, but strangely, all of his solo albums following this never could match it in any form.

Probably the most defining album of my youth, right up there with War Report.

Summer ‘98 was good times and when I first got my license/first car so you know this was on rotation heavy all day every day.

Still remember the night my homies Uncle was setting up my soundsystem in my first car (‘96 Accord). We were listening to this album and I paid him in a 6 pack of Corona and some weed. Long story short, a few months later as I’m driving down the block my trunk caught on fire and my box and wires were fried because this bozo hooked everything up to my car battery.

You get what you pay for brehs :mjcry:

Classic album! :blessed:

yeah this was me at age 12, begging my Mom or just stealing money from my house to buy The Source, hearing these songs on the radio felt like bigger than I can describe, it was feeling of needing more, so you bought the magazines, taped songs off the radio, started finding how to use the internet, to look up lyrics, bought the muthafukking CD SINGLES just to get a copy. This was me and my boys riding to school in the morning with our older sister driving and playing all that shyt our parents wouldn't. She was who explained Too Close to us

Major major year in the game for me. Bought his follow up in 1999 and that was hot at the time too, there's a lot of bangers on there, the Cash Money collab, Sometimes, Oh No

1998
had Superthug and Still Not A Player everywhere on every radio station
