He got timbaland, dr dre, swizz, pharrell, and they all gave him his worst beats

he was taking the budget and asked for thecheapest beats in all their current catalogues

Timbaland actually made history with Nas with the Nas feature on "Hot Boyz". That had the record for longest running song at #1 on Billboard's Top Rap songs. It was #1 for like 16 weeks. "You Owe Me" still moves a crowd. "You Won't See Me Tonight" should've been a single. I don't know what you're talking about with that one. "To My" from Tim's Bio is crazy too.

The best Swizz produced Nas songs are all on Lost Tapes 2 or unreleased. Everything else is trash. I give you that one.

With Pharrell, they are 2/4. "Popular Thug" is the best Nas song produced by The Neptunes (it's basically a Nas song as it has three verses from him). That Charlie's Angels song was weak as is "BBC" (it's a feature, but bottom tier Jay/Nas collabo). "Vernon Family" is dope.

The Dre tracks that feature Nas on The Firm album are all dope and "Phone Tap" is classic. "Nas Is Coming" is ok and "Hustlers" is cool.

Nope, Come Get Me is easily the weakest beat Premier has crafted for Nas, phoned home is an understatement. He crafted better beats within the same time frame.

Sad as Nas went TF off :yes:

I wouldn't say phoned in but that's prob one of the first "Generic Premo Beat" type tracks that came to define his sound going forward. Not to say Premo didn't have amazing beats into the 00s but I think we all know what's meant by that generic Premo beat that ends up on some white rapper or underground tape.
