The English language teaches people to read left to right. so the same approach is naturally taken in other aspects. Math just begins to introduce things that confuses people.
But using the order of operations though, the answer should be zero.
EDIT: The answer is 12. Lol. Addition/subtraction is interchangeable going left to right.

Another way to look at the problem is that your adding the following numbers
+10 (positive 10)
-4 (negative 4)
+6 (positive 6)

So, we gotta calculate the 2 to power of 2 plus the 6 first and then subtract 10 from 10? =zero. This is why I failed math like a mf. shyt like this ain’t even used in the day to day….
