''religion & god''

in my experience i had a bad upbringing. due to that upbringing, it just made me believe that there wasn't God. i became an atheist. i just got to the point where, that if there was a God then he wouldn't have people in this living situation, living fukked up. i then saw this 2pac interview where he talks about God and religion that shaped my opinion, what he said somewhat made sense. he talked about God putting us in a certain situation to test us and wants us to make our lives better ourselves. Pac never really mentioned a certain religion but he talked about churches in the hood and how the church system is corrupt. i started to think and wonder also do some research, i became somewhat of a agnostic/deist type of dude. i then believed there was possibly an afterlife and a God but it wasn't Jesus or Allah (no offense to christians & muslims). i still continue to seek more through spirituality, i hoped that i can become enlightened.

here is the Pac interview by the way

my bad for this dumb little story :manny:

i can't story tell that good :manny:

Someone mentioned this in another thread, I think in higher learning as a sentence in a paragraph but it is the truest thing I've heard in a while (I'll have to come back and @ them once I find the quote again.)

We look at good and bad as man-made constructs and thoughts, for example, if someone dies, we get upset at God as we feel that it is a "bad" thing that they have died rather than a journey and experience that the soul of the person is going through eternally.

Another way I look at it is, in the film Interstellar, we operate on certain levels but higher beings might not worry about time and gravity (for example) so therefore they can travel thorugh time because to them, it is something that they can pick from while we humans travel THROUGH it regardless.

Same way we look at life as finite, God looks at it as an eternal energy. We care about a lifetime while God cares about the soul.

I may be wrong and it is a bit of a ramble, but it was something I read yesterday which made me think so I thought I'd share it.

EDIT: It was @Spin :salute:

I got somewhat deep into Jung a few years back and found him very interesting. Jung was big on confronting the dark side of yourself which most people are scared to do. His book "Answer to Job" deals with this very issue. Job was doing everything "by the book", yet God still made a deal with the devil to temp Job. Why would God allow his most loyal follower to be tested in the first place? Reading Jung's book his theory is that God itself isn't fully conscious of itself/actions and therefore can act good or evil (man made ideas). God created man as a vessel to become fully aware of itself.

Of course man is inferior to God so we all fail in some regard which keeps the incarnation going generation after generation. Job in the old testament finally became aware of Gods ways when he says something along the line of "God at first I only knew you by hearsay, but now have experienced you for myself". Much like the hogwash we're fed about religion Job was following the "word" of God and being a "good" person. However, after being kicked, thrown to the dirt, etc Job becomes enlightened to the true ways of God. Now I'm somewhat simplifying some of this, but you guys can read the book.

I grew up in the church for the most part of my life, but I have different views and my on understanding of the way God works versus what was drilled into my head from birth. My mom told me one day that it's not your religion but rather your relationship. You don't have to believe in a religion to have a relationship with God .
