shyt, I gotta agree that was a good match up
To be more specific they brought a decent arsenal to the match in terms of strikes, shooting, and counters on the grapples.
This reminds me of an observation I made a couple years back.
- The whole jujitsu stuff was effective cause folks didn't know the basic counters or when they are open to specific holds
- Eventually people will know when they are vulnerable to a given grapple and how to guard against it
- At that point all kinds of striking & grappling options will open up.
- Making fights more dynamic, faster paced, with less grappling based fatigue from holds that should have been released/avoided 3-5mins ago.
Russian MMA always been built different. Dudes was running single night 32 man bare knuckle No-Holds-Barred tournaments in 1995
